To Try, Or Not To Try?

March 13, 2019 Post * This was from my old blog (sweetandsacredsex.blogspot.com from July 8, 2013, but it's still relevant)

I attempted and succeeded at a new pose in yoga class today--it wasn't perfect, and it wasn't pretty, but it was BEAUTIFUL!!

I took a moment to celebrate the self, for the courage to explore the unknown, to be okay with teetering, falling, and possible failure, to try and when I failed at first, to try again; I was gifted with the sense of accomplishment as I breathed into the space, expanding body into the form intended. I did it!! So proud of the self, and grateful to my mind, body, soul and spirit, to all those in the class, the teacher, my mat and the world. Of course, I did a little happy dance in my mind, as I transitioned into the next pose.

Don't forget to celebrate yourself. Why wait for others to acknowledge you and all you do? You are amazing, and you are here and alive, so give thanks to all that got you to this point, and all within you, both your failures and your successes, because each one built the you you are now!

And if you aren't 100% happy with that, well, you and life are quite pliable. It takes a choice to live better, accepting things exactly as they are, finding the wisdom/reason/lesson of the experiences, the gratitude, forgiveness, compassion and love for all that built the experiences within you, then a shift in thinking to focus on the positive solution to any challenges, and opening the self to connect with your heart's dreams (what do you wish to do with your life?), some love, commitment to building the new life, persistence, perseverance... and then step by step, moment by moment, breath by breath, live your love.

TRY, DO, BE LOVE!

And if at first you don't succeed,

TRY, TRY, TRY AGAIN!!

You got this.

You can do it.

I believe in you.

Now, believe in you!

All my love, Jamie
